Twitter is a good idea, but appears to be poorly executed. The UI has weird glitches, the settings don't seem to stick for me (and I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.3 on Windows XP, hardly a rare combination!), and I can't simply search for friends if I already know their names.
I wish the Twitter folks all the best, and I will keep using it...but not to manage or even communicate one-way with my social circle.
